President Doe Eyes

 Oh! Divine Barackness, how great is thy ignorance! The following is a line from the inaugural address;

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

Rebuttal: The mere existence of conflict in the world is sufficient proof that the justness of a cause does not produce the emanation of security.  If two sides opposed to each other  were on the precipice of conflict and the president’s assertion was correct then the side whose cause was most just would be victorious regardless of the adequacy or inadequacy of its forces. If the justness of a cause was the ultimate instrument of security then what need have we of armies. If the president’s assertion was correct then the American Revolution would not have been necessary. Freedom and the cause of American liberty would have been bestowed upon us by the mere justice of our cause and without a shot being fired. If the president’s assertion was correct then World War II would never have been fought because Hitler would have realized the self evident justification of the allied cause and retreated from Czechoslovakia in 1939. This part of his speech, among others, is sheer nonsense.  Not only is it nonsense, but it is foolish and dangerous. It is like most of what we know of Obama – beautifully crafted, great story, mellifluous cantor of speech, eventually ending up to mean absolutely nothing. This is silly drivel. Security emanates from the prudent application of superior force (diplomatic, military and economic). The justness of a cause can only rally men’s hearts and bolster their resolve to continue the fight. It is the sad truth of humanity that personal sacrifice and the use of force are the mechanisms for carrying that resolve through to victory. And make no mistake, without victory there can be no lasting peace, no true security.
